Anyone who has cared for a loved-one with any kind of cancer, but especially the most brutal and intractable ones,
will be enraged by the Trump regime's disastrous undermining of research for treatment and cures. By illegally impounding funds and by blocking research grants-- invariably for arbitrary and unsound reasons, --Trump now hinders progress toward cancer treatment and cures.
For example:
A tiny trial in New York has shown that personalized mRNA vaccines can provoke massive, lasting immune responses against
pancreatic cancer, even as sweeping federal cuts now threaten the fragile labs required to produce them.
I am outraged at the reckless wasteful stupidity and contempt for life, health, human decency, the rule of law, and the future of the planet that is daily evinced by Trump, his cabinet appointees, executive orders and policies.
Please use every tool at your disposal to address the harm to medical advances caused by the Trump pro-disease agenda.
Restore funding for the NIH.
Do oversight on all the ways the Trump regime is impeding medical research.
Impeach RFK Jr.
Nothing this administration does is fostering human well being or social flourishing. Take this damage seriously; you own it; you can stop it.
I demand that you do so.
With every delay, every CR that falls short, every time you permit impoundment, you are helping cancer evade treatment and cure. That's a record of disgrace.
