Reversal of US Support for Ukraine

2 so far! Let’s get to 5 signers!

I am deeply concerned by former President Trump’s reversal of U.S. support for Ukraine and his false claim that Ukraine is responsible for the war. Russia’s unprovoked invasion in 2022 was a blatant act of aggression. To shift blame onto Ukraine distorts reality and emboldens Russia, undermining international security. The Importance of Speaking Out for Ukraine I urge you to reaffirm U.S. support for Ukraine and reject misinformation. Weakening support now would embolden Russia and threaten global stability. Ukraine’s fight for sovereignty is crucial to international security, and continued military, economic, and humanitarian aid is essential. Failing to act would signal to adversaries that aggression goes unpunished. Exclusion of Ukraine from Its Own Future I am also troubled by Trump’s failure to include Ukraine and European allies in discussions about Ukraine’s future. Any resolution must involve Ukraine’s leadership and those who have supported its defense. The U.S. must work closely with NATO and allies to ensure a just and lasting peace. Deviation from U.S. Foreign Policy Principles Trump’s stance is a dangerous departure from U.S. foreign policy since WWII. For decades, the U.S. has supported European security and opposed authoritarian expansion. Abandoning Ukraine now would damage U.S. credibility and encourage further aggression. Our allies are watching—if we fail Ukraine, we weaken global deterrence. What Is Your Position? I ask you to clarify your stance on: 1. Continued military, economic, and humanitarian aid to Ukraine. 2. Countering Russian aggression and disinformation. 3. Ensuring Ukraine is included in any negotiations. 4. Upholding U.S. leadership in defending democracy. The choices we make now will shape global stability. I urge you to take a principled stand in favor of Ukraine. Thank you for your time—I look forward to your response.
