An open letter to the U.S. Congress

America must help our allies in Afghanistan--fast!

252 so far! Let’s get to 500 signers!

I want Congress to take tangible, immediate steps to evacuate ALL of the Afghans who worked with the military during the war. We CANNOT abandon them. We need to get all of them out, and fast. Furthermore, we have a deep moral obligation to accept as many Afghan asylum seekers as we can—way more than the current 3500 we are allowing --and especially women and children. Leaving these people to a horrific fate at the hands of the Taliban is not what America is supposed to stand for, and not what our withdrawal should look like. Thanks.
