The decision to remove all members of the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) undermines public trust in the scientific process for developing vaccine policy. This committee consists of independent experts who thoroughly review evidence and data to provide recommendations that protect public health and save countless lives through vaccination programs. Claiming that a "clean sweep" is necessary goes against decades of precedent and transparency in how the ACIP has operated. Alleging conflicts of interest without evidence disrespects the integrity of these dedicated professionals who follow strict protocols to disclose and recuse themselves from any potential conflicts. This unwarranted action threatens to upend a rigorous, evidence-based approach in favor of politicized decision-making devoid of scientific validity. RFK Jr. is consistently an embarassment. Please strongly encourage him to resign.
