Vote against any authorization for war with Iran and reject the $200 billion in additional DOD funding. This war needs to end now.
Joe Kent, Director of the National Counterterrorism Center and a US special forces veteran who deployed 11 times overseas, just resigned in protest. In his letter to President Trump, Kent stated that Iran posed "no imminent threat" to the United States. He knows the cost of war, and he's telling us this one does not make America, or the world, safer or stronger.
Kent wrote that he "cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people nor justifies the cost of American lives." Neither can I. Congress has the power to stop this. Refuse to authorize this war and block the funding that keeps it going.
