Such policies undermine unit cohesion and readiness by devaluing the contributions of capable troops. Targeting a specific group also perpetuates stigma and undermines our core values of equality. I urge you to stand against this misguided policy and uphold our commitment to supporting all who serve with dignity. Allowing this discriminatory denial of benefits would set a concerning precedent that compromises military personnel policies.
