Signalgate continues. Please, take a lesson from it about the consequences of confirming unsuitable nominees.
Please, do not do any further confirmations until the Signalgate scandal has been addressed and the principals removed or dismissed to face the force of the law.
No unanimous consent. No cloture. Use all the tools at your disposal to halt any new confirmations for the time being.
I am appalled by Signalgate and by the perjury and failure to address the situation by all involved. Our troops' lives, our national security and our intel are undermined by this breach. The perjury, deflection and revelations that this wasn't a one off are shocking.
Those involved should step down or be removed and should face the full force of the law. Please do your job, investigate and impeach.
Trump's nominees, including Hegseth and Gabbard, have come with troubling records and strong opposition from professionals in their fields. The senate has failed in its duty of advise and consent. Please, advise and do not consent when nominees lack experience, credentials, and good character.
No more confirmations until the signal cheat negligent parties have been removed or stepped down.
