An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Expel Gonzales & Swalwell? Trump, Kavanaugh & Thomas must face consequences too

I understand that you will be voting on whether to expel members of the house guilty of various crimes and misconduct, or suspected of the same. I write to ask you to apply the same standards to the presidency. It has been reported that there will be motions to expel Gonzales, Swalwell, Mills and Cherfilus-McCormick. Maintaining appropriate standards, standards that would apply in any workplace, should not be controversial. Please ensure due process: distinguish between univestigated allegations and corroborated misconduct. As the world knows, Trump has been convicted of multiple felonies and is guilty of rape. That the law applies equally to all is a foundational principle of our constitution. If a motion is brought to expel any member for even allegations of sex crimes, then you must apply the same principle to the presidency and the Supreme Court. Trump, Kavanaugh, and Clarence Thomas need the same scrutiny and consequences. Therefore I ask you to bring articles of impeachment against Trump for what he did to Jean Carroll and his enabling of Epstein. The Kavanaugh tip line that went straight to the White House instead of to the FBI needs to be restored. Anita Day's testimony about Clarence Thomas should now lead to his removal. If you want to ensure decency in public life, standards must be applied consistently and in a bipartisan way.
