Reject and Vote NO on Dan Bishop for OMB Deputy Director

84 so far! Let’s get to 100 signers!

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to oppose and vote NO on the confirmation of Dan Bishop as Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). Bishop's alignment with the reckless agenda of President Trump and OMB Director Russell Vought to indiscriminately cut federal programs and services is concerning and likely unlawful. Bishop echoes the misguided approach of his boss, Russell Vought, a Project 2025 author and fringe radical that has already caused severe disruptions and trauma to federal employees, and jeopardized critical government functions that Americans rely on. Bishop would simply rubber stamp the haphazard firings championed by this administration have targeted essential personnel, from scientists battling disease outbreaks to veterans crisis line operators. These actions undermine the government's ability to effectively serve its citizens and address pressing issues. Moreover, the assertion that these cuts are not indiscriminate is contradicted by the widespread chaos and scramble to rehire personnel shortly after their termination. Bishop's evasive responses regarding specific instances of disruptions caused by the firings raise doubts about his commitment to preserving the integrity and continuity of government operations. His alignment with Vought's disturbing goal of inflicting "trauma" on federal employees further calls into question his suitability for this critical role. None of this is going to make the US government more ‘efficient’ The OMB should prioritize responsible management of resources and a skilled workforce to fulfill its duties to the American people. Bishop's apparent and openly callous disregard for federal employees signal a failure to uphold these principles. For the well-being of our nation. Reject his nomination and vote NO. Thank you.
