Fund Office of Climate Change and Health Equity

4 so far! Let’s get to 5 signers!

The increased number of wildfires and extreme weather events caused by the climate emergency are taking a toll on human health. Therefor I urge you to work as swiftly as possible on a climate action package as part of the reconciliation bill. One of the offices that would need funding and staff is the relatively new Office of Climate Change and Health Equity. There's still no permanent staff coordinating efforts of public health tied to fires, extreme heat, extreme flooding, and other side effects that threaten every community. This week alone, nearly 80-million people were under heat alerts. The government needs an office that can respond effectively. Please do all you can to give the office the resources it needs. Thank you.
