Protect Voting Rights: Reform the Filibuster

1 so far! Let’s get to 5 signers!

“Heading into the next election, it is vital to protect election workers, same-day registration and early voting. It will also still be necessary to pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, which directly addresses the state legislatures’ electoral power grab." (R.Kagan, Washington Post 9/23/21) Making Election Day a federal holiday and banning partisan gerrymandering are essential for protecting our democracy. We will lose it if you don't use your power as a majority to reform the filibuster so laws can be passed with a simple majority. Filibusters should require 41 votes to go forward and senators have to debate the topic continuously (no green eggs and ham) if they want to stop a vote. There is No more time to waste! Show you can make progress and pass laws that actually help your constituents. Reform the filibuster and pass voting rights protections this week!
