Recently the CPUC decided to gut rooftop solar for renters, farmers, and schools. The people appointed to the CPUC clearly don’t understand they ‘public’ part of their commission title and need to be reminded of it or replaced. Public sentiment is very clear. We all want more solar not less. We want every entity to be incentivized to install more solar not discouraged. The CPUC’s actions make it Very clear that the Legislature must pass a bills to overturn the CPUC’s recent decisions that discourage rooftop solar for homeowners, renters, farmers and schools. They also should to repeal the Utility Tax as current rate increases have strained already tight budgets. Ratepayers are counting on you for leadership and financial relief.
