Tell Speaker Johnson to swear in Adelita Grivalja now & to release Epstein files
Mike Johnson swore James Walkinshaw in promptly but he won't set a date to swear in Adelita Grivalja. Democracy breaks when partisan bad faith procedural manipulation is tolerated. All newly elected representatives should be sworn in without delay. Johnson is depriving thr residents of Arizona CD7 of the representation they are legally entitled to. This is an outrage that shows contempt for the constitution and contempt for honest fair play. Johnson's motives for this partisan delay likely include his wish to block release of the Epstein files. Why are our elected representatives trying to protect the friends of a dead convicted pedophile instead of trying to ensure justice for the targets and victims of crimes? Why is the speaker bringing Congress into disrepute and despising the right to representation of Az CD-7? His delay shows contempt for democracy and the rights to representation. Rep. Yassamin Ansari has written to Speaker Johnson. I ask you to do the same. I ask you not to tolerate either the delay in seating Rep Grivalja or the continued prevarication about the Epstein files. Please reply to let me know what you will be doing about these two issues. I am outraged that the speaker of the house is subverting justice and democracy.
