DoD is a serious job. Reject Hegseth, an unserious candidate

Peter Hegseth is an unqualified and dangerous choice for Secretary of Defense. His lack of relevant experience and extremist views make him unsuitable for this critical role overseeing our nation's military and national security. Confirming someone like Hegseth, who has spread disinformation and holds fringe ideological positions, would undermine the effectiveness and readiness of our armed forces while alienating allies. For the safety of all Americans and our standing in the world, this nomination must be rejected in favor of a competent, level-headed candidate committed to strengthening our defense capabilities through pragmatic policies.
