The situation in Ukraine is deeply concerning. Russia's invasion and attempts to redraw borders through force are a flagrant violation of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Any peace agreement must respect Ukraine's sovereignty, restore the territory seized by Russia, and allow Ukraine to pursue its rightful aspiration of NATO membership without coercion. Excluding Ukraine from negotiations about its own future is unacceptable. I urge you to pressure the administration to include Ukrainian representatives in any talks with Russia and insist that a just peace upholds Ukraine's national interests and security. Failing to do so would not only betray a key partner, but also embolden further acts of aggression that undermine international norms and American leadership. Ukraine's freedom and self-determination must be safeguarded.
