Co-sponsor and vote yes on the Stop CHEATERS Act. Gutting IRS funding was a gift to wealthy tax cheats, and the rest of us are paying for it — literally. The resulting drop in enforcement has contributed directly to ballooning federal debt, while billionaires and corporations skate on what they owe. Every dollar invested in IRS enforcement returns multiples in recovered revenue, meaning restoring this funding saves trillions over time. While you're at it, bring back Free File. Millions of Americans should not have to pay a private company just to comply with a legal obligation. The IRS already has the data. A free, direct filing option is common sense, and killing it was a favor to tax prep lobbyists, not taxpayers. Support the Stop CHEATERS Act and fight to restore Free File — make the system work for constituents, not against them.
