Overturn Trump v. United States, restore checks and balances
The Supreme Court's decision in Trump v. United States set a dangerous precedent by granting the president sweeping immunity and unchecked executive powers. This has empowered the current administration to take legally dubious and constitutionally questionable actions, undermining the system of checks and balances essential to democracy. For the sake of preserving democratic institutions and the rule of law, I urge the Court to revisit and overturn this ruling. An imperial presidency unconstrained by Congress or the judiciary poses an existential threat to American democracy and human rights. Protecting constitutional freedoms requires reestablishing meaningful limits on executive authority. I implore the Court to rectify this grave error and restore the proper separation of powers.
