An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Save 280m acres of forest NOW

54 so far! Let’s get to 100 signers!

The Trump administration's executive order to rampantly increase logging in national forests is an alarming and destructive policy that must be stopped. Removing critical protections for endangered species and opening up millions of acres of pristine forestland to aggressive deforestation is unjustified and harmful. Mature forests play a vital role in mitigating climate change by absorbing carbon dioxide. Cutting them down exacerbates global warming and destroys precious habitats for vulnerable plants and animals. Rather than yielding to corporate interests, we need to safeguard our public lands and natural heritage for future generations. I urge you to firmly oppose this order and introduce legislation to reinstate conservation measures that preserve US forests and their invaluable ecosystems. Our environmental legacy is at stake.
