Vote No on the Save Our Bacon Act in the Farm Bill

I urge you to vote NO on any amendment that would add the corrupt Save Our Bacon Act to the Farm Bill, including any amendment from Sen. Ernst that claims to be a compromise. I don't want Joni Ernst putting American family farmers out of business to help China. That's not a figure of speech. Smithfield Foods controls about 24% of the U.S. pork market, and its Chinese parent company, WH Group, still holds roughly 93% of the voting shares. This amendment would undermine American family farmers, override the will of voters in fifteen states, and hand the shelf to exactly those interests at the expense of local communities. Putting more of our food supply under foreign control is a national security threat, and it does not belong in a bill named the Farm, Food, and National Security Act. Our food policies should support responsible farming, protect consumers, and strengthen American family farmers, not create advantages for China-owned corporations. Americans deserve a food system that prioritizes transparency, healthier and more humane food, and the interests of farmers and families here at home. Please stand with American farmers, rural communities, and the voters you represent. Reject Joni Ernst's Save Our Bacon scam and vote NO when it comes before the Senate.
