Pass condemnations of Trump denouncing his "abuses and usurpations" against American democracy. This includes his treacherous embrace of Putin amidst Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine, his reckless defunding and deliberate sabotage of vital government agencies, the elimination of public health and environmental research programs, and the mistreatment of workers through rollbacks of hard-won labor rights and protections. The disastrous ramifications of these actions represent an appalling dereliction of duty and violation of the presidential oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution." The very foundations of American society are imperiled by such lawless conduct from the nation's highest office. As elected representatives, a duty is owed to the citizens to forcefully rebuke this President's transgressions and egregious overreach through all legal and Constitutional means available.
