Today I'm writing to urge you, in the strongest possible terms, to call for the resignation and/or removal of EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler.
His actions are not only clearly putting industry's interests over people, but removing regulations that protect us from air pollution and other dangers produced by industry is a direct violation of the Mission of the Environmental Protection Agency. He must be held to account, and his deputies as well.
No lawmakers can ignore any of this. Lasting damage to our children's health as well as our elders, and ourselves is going to happen with this mans actions.
During his tenure:
1. Wheeler has gutted auto emission standards which will increase air pollution and carbon emissions leading to our climate crisis.
2. Wheeler has granted pollution waivers for industry. A green light for them to harm all of us, and many families that dwell near the worst sites of pollution.
3. Wheeler has moved to censor science, and use mathematics and accounting to lie about toxic mercury pollution.
I could go on.
This is all unacceptable. Wheeler is putting us all in harms way. He must be removed from office. Period.
